AI Features
To rewrite recommendations into plain language, we may send OpenAI product-level performance evidence such as product titles, SKUs, Shopify product IDs, inventory levels, sales velocity, margins, discounts, refunds, and COGS coverage. We do not include customer names, email addresses, postal addresses, or payment details.
AI outputs are designed to assist business decisions and should not be considered financial, accounting, legal or tax advice.
Merchants remain responsible for their business decisions.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your information on one or more of the following legal grounds:
- You have consented.
- Processing is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- Processing is necessary to comply with legal obligations.
- Processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests.
Data Retention
We retain shop-linked app data while AutoSentra remains installed. After uninstall, Shopify sends us a shop-redact request and we delete the shop record and its linked synced store data, settings, sessions, subscription records, and support or sales audit records.
Support or sales inquiries submitted without an installed shop are not linked to a Shopify shop record. We retain them only as needed to respond, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion by emailing privacy@autosentra.com.
We also honor Shopify's mandatory customer-privacy webhooks. AutoSentra processes order and refund webhooks in memory but stores only normalized product-level financial records, not customer names, email addresses, postal addresses, or payment details. Webhook audit records retain only the Shopify webhook ID, topic, shop, resource ID, processing status, and timestamps; no webhook request bodies are retained. Customer data requests and deletion requests therefore return no customer personal data held.
Data Security
International Transfers
AutoSentra and its service providers may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where information is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as our providers' own standard contractual clauses and security certifications — to help ensure it remains protected consistently with this Policy.

Children’s Privacy
AutoSentra is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. AutoSentra is a business tool used by Shopify merchants and their staff, not by consumers or minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a child, we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date above and post the revised policy at this same URL. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
